We will be meeting in two locations. The first is at Starbuck's next to Safeway at Bernal Ave in Pleasanton. We'll meet there at 8:00am. Then, we'll leave at 8:15am and cruise to Concord at Krispy Creme Donuts off 680 at 1991 Diamond Blvd in Concord. We'll arrive at 8:45am. We'll depart Krispy Creme at 9:00am and make our way to Sonoma Town Square. (The club will not pay for lunch) After lunch, we will visit B.R. Cohn Winery at 1:00pm. Following that tasting, we'll head to our final winery stop at Chateau St. Jean at 2:30pm. As I mentioned before, we will be purchasing bottles of wine for our tastings from each winery. The cost for both tastings will be $20.00 a person. That saves each of us $20-$25 for tasting fees at both wineries. If you have any questions, please email me at foxbayarea@aol.com. We will continue our cruise south onto country roads towards Calero Reservoir, a short stop to check out the picturesque lake view, boats, and water skiers, then back on the road again. Our next stop will be Uvas Dam, again just off the slightly curvy country road lies yet another body of water. At this point we are just a few miles from our destination. We will continue on HW 152 west twards Mt. Madonna, from here, on a clear day, you can see all the way to Santa Cruz. The last stop is Gizdich Ranch. The Gizdich family has owned this 67 acre ranch since 1930, it is a family owned business that produces 14 varieties of apples, strawberries, raspberries, ollalieberries, blackberries, winter squash, and fresh apple juice. The fine folks at the ranch will have reserved parking waiting for us. Here we will enjoy the best fresh bake pies on the planet, plus there is also a gift shop, Antique Shop, pick-your-self area, and tours. Wow, I am almost out of breath, but I am not done yet. As a special added treat, the club will be picking up the tab for lunch and desert. Please, club members and immediate family only. Mark your calendars for yet another first time event. Your club officers and volunteers are working hard for you so please come and support your club.
